How It Works
Individuals may conveniently invest funds from just RM200,000 in
a strategically selected and professionally managed portfolio.
The portfolio is a basket of individual countries' (e.g. Malaysia,
Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Japan
and Philippines) stocks whose fundamentals are strong and which
will provide an attractive level of return over the local interest
rates.
Take Malaysia as a case study. The portfolio will comprise a basket
of Malaysian stocks with strong fundamentals whose prices are expected
to outperform the KLSE Emas Index over the medium term. Assets are
allocated sectorally, based on fundamentals and prospects.
Individual funds are managed and executed summarily in a single
SJAM model portfolio. Individual clients are kept well-informed
through a monthly portfolio report.
Advantages
|
- Cost efficient way of investing in a diverse and
strategically selected portfolio.
- Personal entitlement to a stable portfolio, with tangible ownership
(kept with SJAM's custodian), instead of a net asset value as given by unit trusts
or mutual funds.
- No exposure to imbedded gains which is inherent when investing
in unit trusts.
- Professional fund management services for individual funds.
- A balanced portfolio with well-managed risk levels.
- A portfolio performance that has high probability of providing
consistent return, while outperforming the respective market benchmarks over a
2-3 year market cycle.
